Donna Gerson is a contributing editor for Student Lawyer magazine (American Bar Association). She is the author of several books on legal career issues, including Choosing Small, Choosing Smart, Building Career Connections and the new Asked and Answered series published by Thomson Reuters. Donna graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and earned her law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
After clerking for a judge in Philadelphia, Donna worked as a litigator in Pittsburgh before joining the Career Services Office at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She served as the director of the Career Services Office for seven years before becoming a full-time writer and speaker.
Having spent many years counseling law students, working with legal employers, and visiting law schools nationwide, Donna understands the demands facing law students, the range of offerings by career services offices, and current hiring trends and practices.
